The Smiley, Texas, native recently completed a 57-year career that included stops at San Marcos, New Braunfels and San Antonio Madison High Schools.  In 40 seasons as a head football coach, Streety amassed 343 wins—seventh best among Texas high school coaches all-time.  At New Braunfels, he was 149-46-2 in 17 years.  At Madison, he was 194-85-1 in 23 years.  His teams made the state playoffs 27 years and made the state semifinals seven times.  Streety recently retired after serving 10 years as New Braunfels ISD Athletic Director.
